Judge Sullivan entered two new orders last night in Katie Phang’s lawsuit against Todd Blanche. This is the lawsuit to force the Justice Department to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The first order involves the existing injunction Judge Sullivan issued. We discussed it here if you want to get back up to speed before our conversation tomorrow.

The second order involves pending motions. Bottom line: Katie wins. The Attorney General loses.

Judge Sullivan ordered Blanche to produce notes made by agents during an interview where a 13-year-old girl reportedly accused Donald Trump of physical and sexual abuse. The Judge will review the notes in camera before determing whether they will be released further. It’s worth noting that not everything a witness tells agents during an investigation turns out to be true. The Department has fought long and hard to avoid turning over these notes. And the Judge admonishes Blanche in the order that the “courts have the inherent power to enforce compliance with their lawful orders through civil contempt” and that violating an order that is “clear and unambiguous” can lead to a contempt finding.
