The Federal Agencies Digital Guideline Initiative has two new resources now open for public comment: "TCR4CAP: Tiered Community Recommendations for Content Authenticity and Provenance, with a focus on LAM collections content impacted by artificial intelligence" and the supporting technical assessment report, "Content Authenticity and Provenance for Audiovisual Collections: An Environmental Review" (also called CAP Environmental Review). Both resources will assist cultural heritage institutions with decisions about documenting content authenticity and provenance, particularly for content impacted by artificial intelligence. These resources are currently open for public comment until mid-October 2026.
