We won't stay silent about lamb suffering Fashion should never come at the expense of animal welfare. Yet every year, millions of lambs endure live lamb cutting (LLC, also known as mulesing), a painful procedure that is still linked to more than half of the wool used by the global fashion industry.
Last year, FOUR PAWS investigated over 100 fashion brands and found that Michael Kors scored zero points for public transparency and action on live lamb cutting.
During New York Fashion Week, we partnered with artists and animal advocates to highlight the cruelty of live lamb cutting and call on Michael Kors to commit to LLC-free wool. Displayed across the city, the Counting Sheep Art Trail invited passers-by to consider the cost of wool produced through suffering. Two of these powerful artworks, 'The Silence' by Lori Menna and 'Recycled Lambs' by Andrea Fisher, you can see above.
The installations reached thousands of people and inspired conversations about the need for greater transparency and compassion in fashion. But our work doesn't stop here.

This summer was intense. Your support was vital.Some wild animal rescues take months of planning. Emergency missions don't offer that kind of luxury. That's why reacting timely makes all the difference in the world.
In June 2026, as two earthquakes devastated north-central Venezuela, we joined forces with Colombian organisation Proyecto ALA and their Venezuelan partner Fundación de Patitas En La Calle. Together, we delivered seven tonnes of food to La Guaira, one of the most affected areas.
In early August 2026, parts of Greece were ravaged by wildfires. Thankfully, we had been working with Dogs’ Voice ahead of the wildfire season, to ensure that essential emergency response equipment and other vital supplies are within reach.
Later in August, Colombia was struck by its strongest earthquake this century. And once again, we partnered with local organisation Proyecto ALA to deliver support where it is needed most, especially by treating injured animals and providing food for the people who care for them.
But our efforts – and the lives saved – are only possible thanks to you.
