Amazon's new "Update Me When" feature for Alexa for Shopping sends users personalized alerts about new products, events and deals that could prompt a purchase. Initially, users must set up alerts manually, but Amazon may expand to automated suggestions in the future, helping shoppers stay ahead of new purchase opportunities.

Sports fans face challenges in finding live events due to the fragmentation of content across channels, streaming services and apps, according to a Gracenote report. More than 25% of survey respondents say they often cannot "identify which channel or service is carrying a particular live event." The TV home screen is poised to play a pivotal role in improving sports discovery, Gracenote asserts.

Ford aims for 100K first-year sales of Fathom EV pickup

Ford Motor seeks to sell more than 100,000 units of its Fathom electric pickup in its first year of production, a feat only Tesla has achieved for a single electric model. The Fathom, priced around $30,000, will be assembled in Louisville, Ky., using a new technique and massive casting machines to reduce costs, and it will feature lithium-iron phosphate batteries and offer rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
