An unusually large number of you travelled from Brussels South Charleroi Airport this summer! July was our busiest month ever, with a record 1.2 million passengers, once again confirming just how popular our airport is during the busy summer getaway period.

And record passenger numbers don’t necessarily mean long queues! Despite the high number of travellers, the passenger journey remained smooth, with security checks taking less than 20 minutes.

This excellent performance is thanks in particular to our new security facility, which opened last April on Princess Astrid Plaza, opposite Terminal 1. Modern, more spacious and designed to handle periods of high passenger traffic efficiently, it helps make security checks run more smoothly and improves your experience from the moment you arrive at the airport.

This first summer season has confirmed the benefits of our new facility, as well as the commitment of our teams, who work so hard every day to make sure your journey gets off to the best possible start.

Let's explore Pristina!

A new destination is joining the Brussels South Charleroi Airport network! From 17 November 2026, Wizz Air will fly you to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, with three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

In the heart of the Balkans, Pristina is a vibrant young city, where cafés, markets and cultural venues sit alongside reminders of its rich and eventful history. Still relatively undiscovered, it's the perfect destination for experiencing a different side of South-Eastern Europe.

Travelling alone is a big adventure for a child… and can sometimes be a little stressful for parents too!

At Brussels South Charleroi Airport, children travelling alone can be accompanied and looked after until they board their flight. In 2025, 303 children were helped thanks to this service.

The service is currently available for flights operated by Pegasus and Air Corsica. It must be booked in advance directly with the airline, and terms and conditions, including the minimum age, may vary.

On the day of departure, your child will be looked after and accompanied to the aircraft, where they will be handed directly over to the crew. They will never be left unattended.

For complete peace of mind, make sure you check the details and book this service with your airline before departure.
