Veteran of the Month - August 2026
 Meet U.S. Coast Guard Veteran Joseph Garner! Garner served four years in the USCG at Station Chatham, MA, located on Cape Cod. While assigned to this station, Garner served as a crewman aboard Motor Lifeboats, participated in heavy weather search and rescue missions, and federal law enforcement operations. Notable events during his time there include Hurricane Bob and what's now called "The Perfect Storm" that struck New England. Thank you for your service, Joseph Garner!

Lubbock VA Clinic Mobile Food Pantry
The Lubbock VA Clinic’s Whole Health Department is hosting another free drive thru mobile food pantry for area Veterans on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., located in the clinic’s parking lot at 3510 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79415. This effort is in partnership with the South Plains Food Bank to assist nourish our hometown heroes and will occur once per quarter. This is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

Perryton - First Friday of every month from 9am-12pm at the Sheriff's Office, 511 S Ash, Perryton, Texas.
Pampa - Second Friday of every month from 9am-3:30pm at the VFW Post 1657, 105 S Cuyler, Pampa, Texas.
Dalhart - Third Friday of every month from 9am-3:30pm at the Courthouse, 415 Denver Ave, Dalhart, Texas.
