The FDA is sharing additional information ahead of the public meeting on Listeria monocytogenes prevention planned for August 18-19, 2026.

During the upcoming public meeting the FDA hopes to foster discussions around a number of topics including:

  • Best Practices in L. monocytogenes prevention
  • L. monocytogenes Dose-Response Modeling: Applications and Advancements

Today, the agency released an agenda for the public meeting which outlines several sessions focused on these topics and a document outlining key questions the agency hopes will inform discussions both during and beyond the public meeting. Additionally, FDA has opened a docket where interested stakeholders can submit comments related to these topics, the key questions, or other helpful information related to Listeria prevention. The docket will be open for 90 days.

As a reminder, registration is currently open for the public meeting. More information can be found on the meeting webpage.
