Glow n' Float - Teen Pool Party!

Join us at Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center THIS Friday July 24, for Glow n' Float, a glow-in-the-dark pool party just for teens. Swim under neon lights, dance to music, enjoy pizza and ice cream floats, and spend the night with friends in a glowing, high-energy atmosphere.

Event times:

  • Ages 12-14: 8 to 9:30 p.m.
  • Ages 15-17: 9:30 to 11 p.m.

Step back in time on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to noon during a guided walking tour of Fort C.F. Smith. Discover the history of one of the last Union forts built to defend Washington during the Civil War and learn about the soldiers who served there.

Start Your Creative Business with StART-Up Studio

Applications for the next StART-Up studio are open, and we are looking for talented teens to join! Our summer program will run Monday-Friday, August 24-28 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fairlington Community Center. During this weeklong program, participants work alongside professional artists, designers, and creative entrepreneurs while they develop their own jewelry business. All materials for the program are provided, and the program is open to students going into 9th-12th grade. Apply for the StART-Up Studio program by July 31

Level Up 55+ Gaming Club

Join 55+ friends on Fridays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Arlington Mill Community Center for a fun mix of video games that encourage social connection, cognitive engagement and light physical activity in a welcoming environment. The Arlington Mill gaming room features 10 PlayStation consoles and TVs, which can also connect to systems like the Wii and Nintendo Switch, offering a wide range of gaming experiences. Access for All!
Parks & Recreation classes, camps, fitness memberships, preschools, programs and more are at a price you can afford! Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Whether you have a short-term set back or something longer term, we're here to help.

 

Additionally, all Parks & Recreation programs, classes and camps can put modifications in place to promote an enjoyable and successful program experience for participants of all abilities. Advance notice is welcome. Call 703-228-4740 or email trinfo@arlingtonva.us.

 

Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center on select Saturdays to get help with registration, create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more. The DPR Administrative Services Office at Lubber Run Community Center also has extended after hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 –7 p.m. for in-person assistance.
