Yeah I think the trail you mentioned sounds like a good option for next weekend. The weather forecast looks decent so we should be able to get a solid 8 miles in before noon. I was looking at the map and there's a nice loop that goes past the old fire lookout. We could pack lunch and eat up there. Let me know if you want to bring your camera because the view should be good. I'll check my gear tonight and make sure my boots are still in good shape. I might need to pick up some new insoles before we go. Also I was thinking we could stop at that diner on the way back if timing works out. They have good pie. I finally got around to sanding down that old bookshelf I picked up at the flea market. The wood is actually in better shape than I thought once I got through the surface layer. I'm thinking I'll use a dark walnut stain on it to match the other furniture in the room. The hardware needs replacing though the original hinges are rusted beyond saving. I found some nice brass ones online that should work. The measurements are standard so I don't think I'll need to drill new holes. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the month. I'll send you a photo when it's done. If you have any recommendations for a good sealant I'm open to suggestions because I want it to hold up well.
