I finally signed up for that pottery class I kept talking about. The first session was a bit messy, honestly the clay goes everywhere and I'm pretty sure my 'bowl' looks more like a lumpy ashtray, but it was incredibly therapeutic. The instructor said it takes a few sessions to get the centering right. There's something really satisfying about working with your hands, you know? Creating something tangible from just a block of mud. It's a nice counterbalance to spending all day staring at spreadsheets.
