Regarding that lasagna recipe you asked about - I made it last weekend and it turned out really well. The key is letting the sauce simmer for at least an hour to develop flavor. I used a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage which gave it a nice depth. For the cheese layer, I combined ricotta with some fresh basil and a pinch of nutmeg. Next time I think I would add a bit more garlic and maybe some mushrooms. Let me know if you try it and how it goes for you.

About the hiking trail we discussed - I finally did the Ridge Loop last Saturday. The weather was perfect and the views from the top were worth the climb. The trail was about 6 miles round trip with some moderate elevation changes. I would recommend starting early to avoid the afternoon heat. There is a nice shaded area about halfway where you can rest. Make sure to bring plenty of water as there are not many spots to refill along the way. I am planning to go again next month if you want to join.
