Dezeen has teamed up with Trimble SketchUp to host a talk titled The productive architect: How AI is changing our approach to design during the AIA Conference on Architecture and Design 2026 in San Diego.

Led by Dezeen's Co-CEO Benedict Hobson, the conversation will include SketchUp VP of Architecture and Design Christopher Cronin, Chief Industry Officer of Kestrel Labs Marissa Ritchen and Design Principal at Perkins Eastman Omar Calderón Santiago.

They will explore how AI is redefining the role of the architect and how freed-up time is actually being used.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception and an opportunity to meet the speakers and network with peers.
