I finally got around to organizing the garage this weekend like we talked about. Found some old boxes from college that I haven't opened in years. There was a whole collection of vinyl records my uncle gave me that I completely forgot about. Most of them are classic rock bands from the seventies and eighties. A few are still in pristine condition with the original sleeves. I might look into getting a record player now just to test them out. It was also fun stumbling upon old photographs and concert tickets tucked inside the boxes. Anyway, the garage looks a million times better now. I can actually park my car inside again without playing Tetris with all the stuff. Let me know if you want to come over this weekend and take a look at the records. I signed up for that pottery class I was telling you about. It's been two weeks now and I absolutely love it. The instructor is this really patient older woman who makes everything look so easy but explains the technique really well. I've managed to make a few small bowls and a cup so far. They are a bit lopsided but I think that adds character, you know? The studio has a great vibe, and the wheel throwing is surprisingly meditative. The best part is how relaxing it is to just focus on shaping the clay and forget about everything else for a couple of hours. My hands are usually covered in clay by the end, which is oddly satisfying. You should really consider joining the next session with me. I think you would enjoy it a lot.
