I finally finished reading that book you lent me last month. I have to admit, it took me a while to get into the first few chapters, but once the main character left for the coastal town, I was completely hooked. The descriptions of the cliffs and the lighthouse were incredibly vivid. I think I highlighted half the paragraphs on my e-reader. Did you end up reading the sequel yet? I heard it focuses more on the daughter's perspective, which could be really interesting. Let me know if you want to swap again next time we grab coffee. I have a couple of other recommendations that have a similar atmospheric vibe but with a bit more mystery woven in.
