I was just thinking about what you said the other day about the garden project. I finally got a chance to look into those perennial seeds you recommended. The local nursery had a few varieties in stock and I picked up some coneflowers and black-eyed Susans. I'm planning to get them in the ground this weekend if the weather cooperates. The forecast looks promising for Saturday morning with partial sun and a slight breeze. I also found a really nice stepping stone set that might work for the pathway we discussed. They have a natural stone finish that would blend well with the existing landscape. Let me know if you want to come by and see the layout before I start digging. I could use a second opinion on the placement. The front bed gets a lot of afternoon shade so I'm trying to figure out the best spot for each plant. Anyway, just wanted to share the update and see if you had any other thoughts before I break ground. The soil in that area is pretty rich already so I think they'll take well once they're in.

Hope you're having a good week so far. Let me know if you'd like to stop by this weekend and take a look. I'll probably start around mid-morning when it's cooler.

I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you sent me last month and it turned out really well. I made a few tweaks based on what I had in the pantry like using sun-dried tomatoes instead of fresh ones and adding a bit of basil at the end. The sauce came together much quicker than I expected which was nice for a weeknight dinner. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread and it was plenty for two people with leftovers for lunch the next day. I think next time I might try it with shrimp or maybe some roasted vegetables instead. The original recipe called for chicken but I think it would work well with different proteins. Let me know if you have any other favorite recipes I should try. I've been enjoying cooking more lately and trying new things in the kitchen. It's been a nice way to unwind after work and I find it pretty relaxing to just focus on chopping and stirring for a bit.

I also wanted to ask about that hiking trail you mentioned a while back. I've been looking for a good weekend hike that isn't too crowded. If you have the name or a link I'd love to check it out. Hope all is well with you.
