Jamie Patzer would have celebrated her 20-year anniversary at Spirit Airlines as a flight attendant on Friday. Now, she is a part of the 999 Las Vegas-area workers laid off by the company.
A long-running lawsuit alleging major online travel companies underpaid Nevada hotel room taxes returned to Clark County District Court on Thursday, where attorneys focused on how broadly plaintiffs can pursue evidence under the False Claims Act.
Room renovations are planned in Wynn’s Encore tower and construction continues at the UAE’s Wynn al Marjan Island property.
The new union deal includes pay increases, premiums for swing and graveyard shifts, and employer contributions to various union funds, among other changes.
Lease rates in the Northwest office market, which includes Summerlin and Centennial Hills, have risen gradually over the last five years driven by a healthy demand for newer office space in that submarket, according to real estate brokerage Colliers.
