Britney Spears pleads guilty to reckless driving after DUI arrest and avoids jail time

Pop star Britney Spears pleaded guilty through her lawyer on Monday to a lesser charge of reckless driving stemming from her arrest last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The 44-year-old was not required to appear in court. Spears attorney, Michael A. Goldstein, appeared on her behalf.

Spears admitted to violating California’s “wet reckless” law, which provides plea options in some DUI cases and can be offered at the county prosecutor’s discretion. The law applies to defendants without a prior DUI history and a low blood-alcohol level in a case not involving a crash or injuries.

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden announce birth of third child with ocean-inspired name

Cameron Diaz and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden have welcomed their third child together, a boy, surprising fans with the news of their growing family on May 4.

“Happy, excited, and feeling so blessed,” Madden wrote on his Instagram, adding that their crew is “healthy & happy” and “having a blast.”

Diaz responded in the comments with a string of heart emoji.

Confirmed to attend are this year’s co-chairs Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman, as well as Anna Wintour, now in her new role as Condé Nast’s chief content officer.

Princess Eugenie is pregnant, expecting 3rd child with Jack Brooksbank

Britain’s Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, announced Monday that they are expecting their third child.

Eugenie, 36, the younger daughter of the former Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, is set to give birth this summer, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

The couple’s two sons August, 5, and Ernest, 2, are “very excited” to welcome a new sibling to the family, and King Charles III is “delighted’’ with the news, the palace said.

What some viewers thought was an AI-generated meme in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” was actually drawn by a human artist.

The highly anticipated sequel to the 2006 classic dominated the box office this weekend as its original cast returned to the story of the fictional magazine “Runway” 20 years later.

One clip from the new film shows a slew of internet memes disparaging editor-in-chief Miranda Priestley, played by Meryl Streep, including one of Priestley as a fast-food worker, with the text: “Would you like some lies with that?”
