The U.S. used attack helicopters to blow up small boats and intercept Iranian missiles aimed at American-flagged ships in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Commander of U.S. Central Command. No vessels were hit, and no one was injured.

U.S. Navy ships were protecting American commercial vessels transiting the strait as part of President Donald Trump’s new mission to guide stranded boats through the critical waterway, one official said.
