It was a very busy week for our HOSA students! Over 30 HOSA competitors traveled to Roanoke last weekend for the HOSA State Leadership Conference. Throughout the weekend, students had the opportunity to compete in a variety of competitive events, attend healthcare workshops, and network with future healthcare professionals from throughout the state. Our HOSA students continued the momentum back at Chantilly Academy as they hosted a blood drive with Inova. Our Health and Medical Science students volunteered throughout the day alongside Inova's Blood Donor Services team to ensure that students and faculty at Chantilly could safely donate blood. It was a successful day that contributed to supplying our local blood banks with critically needed blood supply.

 Criminal Justice students visited the Spy Museum this week where they learned about the history of the intelligence field and how it is used to support law enforcement efforts.
 Veterinary Science students completed their injection lab, where they received hands-on training on how and where to properly administer injections to animals.
 Cadets from our Air Force JROTC program visited the Udvar Hazy Center where they learned about military aviation history and saw hundreds of historically significant air and spacecraft.
 Our Cosmetology 2 students had the opportunity to learn from guest artists from Hair Cuttery who helped them sharpen their skills as they prepare for their State Boards.
 Auto Collision 1 students have been in the paint booth practicing priming and painting fenders.
 First year Dental students practiced safely passing instruments and proper instrument positioning.
 Our Chantilly Academy Ambassadors were at several elementary and middle schools this week for their Career Day presentations. Pictured here are four of our amazing ambassadors at Rocky Run Middle School.
