PA 2023-IV-MV3 – Penn Daw Fire Station and Emergency and Supportive Housing - On December 5, 2023, the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Plan amendment to evaluate the co-location of public facility uses on the subject property, including a replacement Penn Daw Fire Station and an emergency and supportive housing facility. Plan Amendment 2023-IV-MV3 proposes the development of a new fire station to replace the existing 1967 facility. The new facility will enhance emergency response times and service delivery along the Richmond Highway Corridor. The amendment also proposes an emergency shelter and supportive housing facility with up to 50 shelter beds, 20 supportive housing units for individuals, and 10 supportive housing units for families. The amendment includes guidance on site design, compatibility with adjacent uses, and transportation considerations.
