A Message from the PTA President
Dear Hunt Valley Families,
Science Fair and STEAM night, last week, was so much fun! I was able to volunteer during the school day while each grade came through the gym to tour the student Science Fair projects. I had the good fortune to be stationed in one corner of the room where I was able to showcase a “Sink or Float” project done by one of our Kindergartners. (Kennedy, if you’re reading this, you need to know that you blew everyone’s minds with the realization that an apple floats!) There were creative and thoughtful projects all around the room and the students were really engaged by the work of their peers. Great job to all those involved in the event, from families to teachers to volunteers!
Thanks to those who donated to our FUNDrive partnership with the Green Guardians Club. We will keep you all in the loop as we tally our results and the Green Guardians decide how best to use the proceeds. We will continue our partnership through the Spring with some upcoming grounds clean up days at the school, dates TBD.
As mentioned last week, PTA is actively seeking nominations for several Executive Board positions. Please send any nominations to the head of the Nominations Committee at valerieparr11387@gmail.com. And, feel free to reach out to any of the current board members with questions about what each position entails.
Last, but not least, SAVE THE DATE for PTA’s Spring Festival on Friday, May 15th!
As always, if you have questions, please reach out to President@huntvalleypta.org or info@huntvalleypta.org.
Sincerely,
Kacie Jones Hunt Valley PTA President
