Rachel Olarinde, FCHS English teacher and Poetry Club co-sponsor, has shared that 10 FCHS students participated recently in the 2025-26 FCPS Student Poet Ambassador Competition. Two FCHS Creative Writing students were selected as two of 12 finalists for the FCPS Poet Ambassador: Mercy Lambkin for her poem, “Lamby,” and Lindsay Howard for her poem “Luck Runs Out.” An end of year ceremony and showcase will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. (location pending).
