Alex Cora has managed the third-most games in Red Sox history, behind Joe Cronin and Terry Francona. Barring something unexpected, he would tie Francona for second place on the final day of the upcoming season.
What then? Cora is under contract through 2027, and during a sit-down interview with the Globe he said his hope is to stay in the job and manage a roster well-positioned for success this season and beyond.
But family comes first. Cora is set to marry his partner, Angelica Feliciano, in November, and their twin sons turn 9 in July. He’s also in the process of buying a new home in Puerto Rico.
