Summer Camp 2026: Registration has Begun!

Summer Camp registration began this week with Early Registration. Check the dates below for upcoming info!

Family Night

The first Family Night at Carver Community Center takes place this Friday, Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m. At this free event, families are able to enjoy Valentine themed cookie decorating, a Black History Month activity, bingo with prizes, moon bounces and games. There is no registration required for this event and it is open to all ages. Parents must remain on side to supervise their children. 

Adults Only Skate Night

Get ready for a special Adults Only Skate Night this Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6-9 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Community Center. Make Skate Night your kid-free adventure or your skate night date night! We recommend preregistering to guarantee your skate size. Regular Family Skate Night returns Saturday, Feb. 21 from 6-9 p.m.

Teen DJ Applications for Battle of the DJs

Applications to be part of the Battle of the DJs are open until Sunday, Feb. 8! If you are in middle or high school with experience in DJ and music production, you are encouraged to apply. Battle of the DJs will take place during the Amazon Teen Takeover Friday, Feb. 27 from 7-10 p.m. Apply here.

New to your DJ skills? Stop by one of our DJ and Music Production classes at Thomas Jefferson Community Center or Arlington Mill Community Center. These classes are free, and more information can be found online. 

Upcoming Teen University Trips

This month has two free University Trips open for teens ages 14-19. Each trip includes an exclusive tour of an area university followed by a fun activity to enjoy with friends. Trips leave from Thomas Jefferson Community Center.

Feel the Heritage - Fashion Show

We are looking for models, fashion designers and artists who would like to be a part of our Fashion Through the Years fashion show hosted during this year's Feel the Heritage Festival Saturday, Feb. 21 from 12 (noon) - 5 p.m. at Charles Drew Community Center. You can participate as a model, design a piece to be displayed or worn, or share items/accessories to be used!

Teen Takeover: Amazon After Hours

Teens get a VIP look at the Amazon HQ2 building with a special After Hours Teen Takeover on Friday, Feb. 27 from 7-10 p.m. Teens will be able to experience a red carpet welcome, rainforest lounge, graffiti art wall, silent disco, Battle of the DJs and free food! This event is free for middle and high school students, and they must register for the event in advance here. Participants will be required to precent a form of ID.
