If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, now's the time: The virus is already ramping up in Colorado and Christmas travel is only two weeks out. (You can also get your COVID-19 booster now, though the state isn't seeing too much activity from that virus yet.)

One version of the flu picked up mutations over the summer, which could give it an edge in evading immunity. While the mutations don't seem to have increased the virus’ severity, if more people get sick, more people end up in the hospital or dead. While this season's flu shot isn't a perfect match, it can at least give the immune system a head start in fighting the flu.
