I checked with the community center about the garden plot sizes and they confirmed the raised beds are available on a first-come basis this spring.

The soil testing results came back from the extension office and it looks like the pH is slightly alkaline in the back section, so we might want to add some sulfur or peat moss if we are planting blueberries or azaleas there.

For the vegetable section, the compost delivery is scheduled for next Tuesday morning. I can be there to help spread it if you are available around 9 AM.

Let me know if you want me to reserve the shed key for storing tools. Also, I thought we could try growing some heirloom tomatoes in the south-facing beds since those get the most sun throughout the day.

I followed up with the museum coordinator about the volunteer orientation dates and she said the next session is scheduled for the first Saturday of next month.

The training covers the new interactive exhibits in the east wing, so I think it would be useful for anyone helping with school groups.

I mentioned that we have a group of six interested, and she said that works well since they typically limit each session to twelve people. They requested that we arrive about fifteen minutes early to fill out waivers.
