Please be aware that a flyer and online post offering “free athletic shoes from VA” is a fake promo and not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. It did not come from any official VA program (including VPRs, Central Office, or Whole Health) and has been identified as a scam. Please note that, although the flyer lists the MyVA 1‑800 number, the flyer itself is not authorized to promote or use it.
If you receive or see this promotion:
- Do not share or forward it.
- Do not provide any personal, financial, or health information in response.
- Remind Veterans, family members, and colleagues to verify questionable messages through trusted VA channels.
If anyone has questions about whether a communication is legitimate, please direct them to contact VA using official phone numbers, the VA website, or their local VA facility.
