Hey, glad you asked about the hike. It was honestly amazing. We started out pretty early, around 6 AM, just to catch the sunrise at the first lookout. The trail was a bit muddy from the rain the night before, but nothing too crazy. We packed way too much food as usual, but I'd rather have leftovers than run out of snacks. The view at the top was totally worth the effort. I ended up taking like a hundred photos. Let me know if you want the trail map. qCcJQPqb5s We're already planning the next one for next month, maybe somewhere with a lake this time. The weather was perfect, not too hot and a light breeze. I also tried out my new hiking boots and they were super comfortable. No blisters at all which was a relief. I'm thinking of getting a hydration pack next, carrying water bottles was a bit annoying. All in all it was a solid 10 out of 10 day. Let me know when you're free and we can check out that trail map together.

I finally got around to repotting that monstera you gave me last spring. It had completely outgrown its old pot. I wasn't sure if I should split it or just move it to a bigger one. In the end I went with a giant ceramic pot I found at the flea market. It took forever to get the soil right because I wanted to make sure it had enough drainage. The roots were honestly a tangled mess. I spent about an hour carefully untangling them before replanting. It looks so much happier now. Fingers crossed it doesn't go into shock. Your plant advice was spot on as always. I also picked up a humidifier for the corner where I keep the ferns. The air gets so dry in the winter with the heat running. It's made a huge difference already. No more crispy leaf tips. I might try my hand at propagating a few cuttings next weekend. I'm also looking into getting a grow light setup for the darker corners of the apartment.
