Hey, I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you recommended last month. It was absolutely stunning this time of year. The leaves are just starting to turn at the higher elevations. We packed a lunch and made a whole day of it. The trailhead was easy to find with your directions, though the parking lot was pretty full by 9 AM. We ended up taking the loop trail up to the ridge and then down along the creek. The water was crystal clear and so cold. I definitely need to get some better waterproof boots before the next trip, my feet were soaked by the end. Thanks again for the suggestion, it was exactly what I needed to get out of the house for a bit. Let me know if you want to plan another trip together, maybe something a bit more challenging next time. I heard the Blue Ridge Summit trail is amazing in a few weeks.
