What's the latest: Donald Trump has slammed Israel and Iran after both countries briefly resumed attacking each other in defiance of a ceasefire. Speaking to reporters on the White House lawn, Mr Trump said both sides "don't know what the f*** they're doing". He added that he was "really unhappy" with Israel.

The context: The US president yesterday announced a ceasefire between the two sides, but that appeared to be unravelling. Mr Trump's F-bomb has now appeared to mute Israel's attacks on Tehran, while Iran is also abiding by the ceasefire for now. Follow the latest developments on our live blog.
