As Montreal baked in sweltering heat this week, families of residents at CHSLD Vigi Reine-Elizabeth said conditions inside the long-term care home were almost unbearable, The Gazette's Harry North reports.
Many rooms at the N.D.G. facility are not equipped with air conditioning, and the rest of the building felt poorly ventilated.
Thermostat readings on Tuesday showed temperatures in the care home’s dining room around 30 C.
