| Coffee’s one-year penetration growth is up 0.5% since the first quarter of 2025 but down 5.2% over the last five years, according to CSP sister research arm Technomic, Chicago. Coffee is offered in 40.7% of quick-service restaurants, 33% of fast-casual establishments and, not surprisingly, 100% of convenience stores. Bean-to-cup machines, variety, cold offerings and freshness are all the rage in coffee today for convenience stores and quick-service restaurants—and these attributes apply to those on this year’s list. |
