Summer has begun and our amazing Hollin Meadows custodians are working hard to deep clean our school, so we are ready for our Hornets in August!

Happy Summer! Classrooms are packed up, and teachers have left for their summer break. Except for the sounds of floor buffers and furniture movement (see photo above), Hollin Meadows is a very quiet place.
Our office will have limited hours through July. We'll be open 9am-12noon, close for lunch from 12-1pm and reopen from 1-3pm.
Please note that there will be a Boundary Review Meeting specific to HMES and the Whitman MS rezoning is June 30th. Here is the information from Mateo Dunne: School Boundaries Community Meeting with Mateo Dunne (Whitman MS - Lecture Hall, June 30, 7 PM) FCPS School Board Member Mateo Dunne will hold a Community Meeting to discuss the proposed expansion of the boundaries for Mount Vernon HS to include certain neighborhoods adjacent to and around Whitman MS. The meeting will take place at Whitman MS Lecture Hall, 2500 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, VA.
