Democracy has been served in Australia and your ABC in WA certainly made sure our audience was well and truly across all the issues leading up to the federal election.
Nadia Mitsopoulos and I even abandoned our normal Sunday morning leisure to bring you a special 90-minute program on May 4, featuring the wash-up of the election from a uniquely WA perspective. Nadia's home made muffins were a highlight!
A key component of the election discourse came weekly on the Drive program when Labor Resources Minister Madeleine King squared off against Liberal Senator Dean Smith.
Dubbed The Campaign segment, the pair debated the issues with good grace and good humour. Well, most of the time.
With both the state and federal elections out of the way, Drive will reset and introduce some new segments to keep people informed and entertained.
We have already launched The Antenna, which sees Drive producer Josh Cahill talk through the best, and worst, offerings on television and at the movies right now.
The program is very keen to hear recommendations from the audience, too.
Let's roll into winter and don't forget to call the program anytime on 1300 222 720.
