Message from Your PTA Board

This week is Teacher Appreciation week. The PTA, with support of PTA members and parent donations, offered a snack/treat buffet on Tuesday and will be hosting the teachers and staff for lunch on Thursday. Consider having your student write thank you notes to their teachers this week to let our teachers know how grateful we are for their time and presence in our children’s lives!

It has been an honor to serve you all this year and the PTA board is grateful for the support we have received from the Carson Community. We have worked hard to bring back beloved events and to raise money to further the educational environment for all of our children. Please consider if you have a few hours a month to give back to your child’s educational enrichment and join the PTA board. Many of us have 8th graders and will be moving on to parent high schoolers next year. We need YOUR help! We are actively seeking nominations for President, Treasurer, Financial Assistant, VP. Of Fundraising & Events and Membership Chair. See details below.

The classes that had the most registered students will be receiving a cotton candy/shave ice party in the near future! Look forward to a fun PE class thanks to your student registrations! 

We currently have the remaining Panther Prowl shirts up for sale- grab one before they’re gone for good, we have sizes Youth Small to Adult 3XL.

The Panther Prowl was a great success and we thank all the students, parents and teachers who showed up to enjoy the afternoon with us. Kona Ice was there for an after run treat. We are all excited for next year! 

Multicultural Night

Join us for a night of cultural exploration- Sign up here if you would like to host a table, be involved in a demonstration or talent show or bring a dish to share. Mark your calendars for May 20th from 6-8 PM, you won’t want to miss this fun event.

RCMS 8th Grade Party   

8th Grade Panthers: It’s Time to Celebrate! 

Parents of all 8th Graders: Your 8th Grader is invited to celebrate the end of the year and their time at RCMS! The students voted overwhelmingly for "Hollywood Red Carpet - Dress to impress!" for the theme!

Registration is required by May 7th. Registration is available to the 8th graders via the 8th Grade Students 2024-25 Group on Schoology. The party is at RCMS on June 6th, from 5:30–7:30pm. Entrance is FREE but students MUST be registered to attend and to win fun prizes! There will be food, a DJ, dancing, photo booths, karaoke, and games! Please encourage your student to come join the fun!

On June 6th, your 8th grader can be dropped off at the main entrance at 5:15, doors will open at 5:30. Pick up is promptly at 7:30 pm. Students will not be permitted to leave the building until 7:30. 

Parents, we NEED your help to make this a great party for our kiddos! If you are willing to donate goodies or volunteer your time, please sign up here! We also have an Amazon wishlist for some items that can be found and purchased here.

Each donation we receive will ensure that the following programs can happen this school year.   

What a week we had last week! So much fun to see so many of you out enjoying Carson Spirit!

May will bring a return of our multicultural night, teacher appreciation and lots of year end concerts and assemblies. Consider this your last chance to support the 2024-2025 PTA as we plan the FREE 8th grade party and these well loved year end events!

Sharing from local high schools

Rummage Sale May 17th!

On May 17th, South Lakes High School Marching Band will be hosting a rummage sale in the parking lot at the school. This event is going to raise money for the Pearl Harbor Parade Trip! This is a great event to clean out the attic or basement, get rid of old stuff and support the band’s trip to Hawaii! If you or someone you know would like a space to sell your items, be the first to sign up! Please share as much as possible.
