New Dezeen Awards 2025 judges revealed

Japanese designer and artist Yoshioka, who recently exhibited an immersive ice installation during Milan design week, will join this year's design panel. Before establishing his studio in 2000, Yoshioka honed his skills in architecture, design and art, working alongside Shiro Kuramata, one of the most important designers of the 20th century and fashion innovator Issey Miyake.

"Winning a Dezeen Award gives credibility" says Mesura

Past Dezeen Awards winners Mesura and Mass Design Group said that receiving the accolade brought new visibility and helped promote sustainability-focused projects.

 

"Inspiring, affirming and uplifting" were the words US practice Mass Design Group used to describe winning sustainability project of the year for its Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture.

 

Meanwhile, interior project of the year-winner Mesura, which won for its Aesop store made of salvaged building fragments, said "winning a Dezeen Award gives credibility, but more than that – it gives us a platform to persuade."
